Hahahaha, apparently one of my mates is trying to join N-O and it won't let him join until he answers how long the ban is for posting football clips.

Haha yeh the same happened to a friend of mine lately, but he got a few attempts at it. Its a great idea!

This is a long shot but here goes.

Each day I get into work and I do the following: Profile > Account Settings > Modify Profile > Look & Layout Preferences > Tick the 'Don't show users' Avatars / Signatures' options and confirm.  When I get home each day I follow the same process and untick those options.

Is there potentially a functionality on the forum where I can choose one of 2 profiles quickly ("Skiving" and "At home so no reason to skive") without so many clicks?

Not really, other than to bookmark the look/layout page so you can go straight to it. ;)

If you can use Firefox at work (try Firefox Portable) then there's also the Stylish add-on for which Semtex made a theme which reduces images etc.

That works on Firefox?!  Thought it was a Chrome thing.  I've got Firefox at work.  Pure love stuff like this me.

Aye, it's class. I have sigs off all the time though so I don't know what it does with those. I would assume it bins them off. To be honest if it does then you'll not need to bother with the profile changes every time, just use that theme at work. It only affects this site when enabled.

Cheers Chris, just been trying to sort this now. Might perhaps be a bit sluggish for the next few minutes, but should be sorted after that

It hides all signatures.

If anyone has found anything that could/should be done/tweaked with this, I'm happy to give it a pop.

Pages have been loading funny for me on occasion. When I enter a thread or if I hit F5 when in one it sometimes loads as if it's been cut together wrong, like posts overlapping or pages with only 2 posts on etc.

Sounds like a caching problem, I've not seen owt like that. Try coming out of your browser and clearing your temporary files etc.

I've got Click&Clean extension installed for Chrome so that should be clearing everything on closing the browser. I'm sure it will be a problem on my end though.

Some work - the basics - most don't. That's just one of my annoyances about it. Better than the WAP site though.
