Aren't we playing the Baggies supporters on that day anyway?

Supposed to be, I'm merely relaying their suggested date - I've given the Chelsea weekend as our best one (given that we can go up on the Sat and back in time for our own match). They reckon they've got a match being film by STV at an all-seater stadium against Hearts supporters' team :(

What dates can they make?

They've suggest Saturday 4th, we go out with them for a night out before driving down to Birmingham in time for Sunday lunchtime KO with West Brom...

lol We can't do both supporters games in Glasgow and Birmingham followed by the toon game in one weekend! Travel will cost people an arm and five legs!

If both teams agree it can be played here..... :(

Actually, on that note whatever position Slim plays for NOFC, make sure he can take alot of shots, nearly broke my hand with one in warmup,  I took some shots of Steve Bowey (ex Bristol City, I think he took their set pieces) and Slims had far more venom in them.  Don't think I've experienced such a powerful strike before.

If the game against Dunfermline supporters (11th of Dec) doesn't go ahead, how about Sunday the 12th of December?

They're almost certainly coming down for that - doesn't rule out the option of driving up on the sunday; however, I imagine most people will be out after the late KO of the Liverpool game.

Nov 13th
Nov 27th
Dec 18th
NYE

I don't think any of those dates are suitable - Nov 13th Fulham (h), Dec 18th Birmingham (a) and NYE's a non-starter.

Can we not do Sundays?  Sunday the 14th of November, could be another suggestion?

I'm happy to contribute to this thread, but NYE is a non-starter for me.

If there is only clash weekends is there any chance or playing at a neutral venue (say Edinb') to make it a bit easier for us to get a team together.

Just an idea to be shot down, easier for us to get to (car or train) and not too far away for them.

Right, they're free on this Sunday. The Fulham match is on the Saturday so there's potential for non-Toon residents to be in the area that weekend.

Need 3 people with a car to say yes, plus 8 other players and I can confirm the match.

Thanks

Can do it and drive up but if so I'll have to pull out of the Bolton trip.

PS: This will be a drive up in the morning (8am), play the match against them, have a drink and some lunch (team carvery?) then drive back in the afternoon. No overnight stay.
