They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

What kick off time do they need?

They get into Kings Cross at 9:45, so anything after 11:30 perhaps.  We should just count these as extra's as they aren't coming down primarly for this NOFC only.

Newcastle fans are more or less f***ed for getting back like.

One train at 8:30pm is it and it takes an hour and half longer than normal.

Venue is confirmed as the following:

Twickenham Academy, Percy Road, Whitton, Middlesex, TW2 6JW

The map picture isn't up to date. The pitch is to the south of the school and is a pretty new 3G surface, only been down about 4 months. Kick off will be about 10.30am.

Closest station is Whitton which is on the line from Waterloo. There are plenty of buses from either Hounslow or Twickenham, Hounslow has a tube station.

Only 12 days away, any more lads coming down for this game? Should be a good one for having a match at early lunchtime, drinks and food before Upton Park. Decent group of lads by all accounts.

Do we need to start asking around for ringers for this one soon?

KO has been moved to 11am already, we can probably stretch it a bit later if we know in advance.

Right I think I have 2 of my mates which are willing to play.  I believe we can get to Twickenham Rail Station by 11:05am if someone would be able to pickus up from there it would be appreciated.

Few of the lads on Sat/Sun fancied coming down to this if anyone (Greg? Kev?) is able to drive down?

If we can't get 11 confirmed by Tuesday night, might have to cancel the match.
