Could just picture it.

I wouldn't get married mind, kids aye, but no marriage for me. Then again, you just never know. You could meet the lass of your dreams and want to get married.

Me and a friend wrote three or four episodes of a sitcom about a group of hapless thieves. We sent it off to the Beeb who sent it back saying they liked it and would like to see more stuff. We never got round to it in the end and he's at Uni in Norwich so I don't see him too often. It's on my to-do list though.

Was that Tim Lewis?

'twas indeed.

Don't bother, it's one of life's big let downs. Tastes like absolutely foul and you'd be comotosed p*ssed, way before you felt the effect of the wormwood, complete waste of time!! Go and pick some mushies and have some real fun.

Ta for that advice. Still want to try it though. I'll do the sugar cueb thing and take only a small amount rather than flirt with lethal alcohol poisoning.

Yeah, I was in Prague in '99 for the Czech Republic v Scotland game and watched a guy drink about a third of a bottle neat, then proceed to strip off and jump off the nearest bridge into the danube at 2 am, not the brightest thing!

Just brought a bottle of 80% absinthe home from Spain, saw some at 85% but thought that was pushing it!

Have tried it before and can only say the closest similar effect i have had was from drugs or when i stupidly downed a pint of Vodka, Tequila with a top of red bull!  bluesleep.gif

JohnnyPD -

I still have not made it out to Catalina - Obviously its more famous than the Channel Isalnds but I like the lack of people in the Channel Islands. That said I usually get rave reviews of Avalon, so I will have to make it out there soon. I don't own a boat (yet), but I have family that do and I am getting certified in the Spring so I might have to make a sailing trip down there.

There are literally hundreds of sushi restaurants in LA and I can't really recommend one that is super special. If you drive up to SB then I could help you out.  I bet you could make better recommendations than I could anyway considering you have probably spent more time there in the past year than I have.

For full disclosure I must admit that living in Santa Barbara has made me a bit of a snob and I rarely go to LA. Most of my friends who lived there have left for greener pastures. I do go down for ocassional events, but I find the place depressing. Of the large cities I have lived in it is my least favourite, but then I never worked for "the Industry" (not Porn, the other one).

You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Student says " I am very discouraged. What should I do?" Master says, "encourage others."
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
It takes a wise man to learn from his mistakes, but an even wiser man to learn from others.
This is what should be done. By one who is skilled in goodness, and who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied. Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.

I love comedic series where every joke (intentional or not) is NOT punctuated by fake audience laughter. That takes the fun out of the actual jokes. Thats why I lurvvvv Scrubs and Arrested Development. Their comedic moments are truly legendary  bluelaugh.gif. Love it when JD thinks out loud and the actual scene in his imagination is shown. Truly fantastic moments.

Andy, which Muse albums did you like the most? I only liked a couple from their first album, one from their second but their latest (Absolution) is simply fantastic. 'Hysteria', 'Stockholm Syndrome' and 'Time is Running Out' are true classics.

Btw, Milan sucks! And Juve, Inter and Roma also do too. Always leaching players off Parma (eg. Buffon, Gilardino, Thuram, Cannavaro, Crespo, Chiesa, Adriano, Mutu etc.)  bluebigrazz.gif

Pretty much all the songs from Origin of Symmetry and Absolution are fairly outstanding, and there's a few good one's in Showbiz too, so it's really difficult to name a 'favourite song'...

I'd say Citizen Erazed, Newborn, Stockholm Syndrome and Butterflies and Hurricanes are the ones I've listened to the most though, so probably them.
