So, is this the new thing on tonight then?

Wouldn't watch it if you've not seen the movie.
I have seen the movie, was asking whether it's the movie that is on tonight or the new mini-series?

I'm quite liking this, but it's a hell, hell, hell of a lot lighter than the film so far like.  Almost light entertainment so far, and a bit too slick.

That's my 20 minute verdict on a four-part series anyway.

Agree. Having read previews, I'm sure it's about to take a bit of a turn.

Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

Not very good so far, only light comedy moments.

This isn't what I expected and hasn't captivated me as much as I would have liked, however I'll tune in for the next part most likely.

I think it's been good actually.  Relieved it's not all so light and it's set up well for 4 episodes.  Was just a bit too much light entertainment to begin with, took me by surprise.

the thing is the film was built around the time it was set...this isn't, this could really be set at anytime,it's only been set at this time to get the cache from the film.
