I literally had no idea we were playing Deportivo.  Is this some kind of tournament?

I was reasonably optimistic before I realised there was some form of trophy involved.

I'd like to see:

                          Krul

Perch    Coloccini     Williamson      Enrique

Routledge    Barton     Guthrie       Xisco

                  Carroll       Best

With Vuckic and Tavernier getting some minutes, hopefully.
Pilko is too bright for such a young guy.

Xisco on the wing. Is that based on Saturdays game?

Where the hell is Jonas? The WC for him was over a months ago. High time he was involved again.
You were supposed to be the chosen one!

Yeah, if Jonas is able to play even 45 minutes then replace Xisco with him... and maybe replace Best with Xisco.

Ashley will force the players to throw the game so he doesn't need to pay the airfare to get that home.

If we win, players will get important strength and conditioning training.
I looked into the eye of the Island and what I saw was beautiful.

It does seem unnecessarily massive though.

I want us to win this so bad man
“What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.” - Sir Bobby Robson

Who said we don't challenge for major honours anymore ?

But seriously this ranks higher than the Intertoto cup in my book.
