Probably a no goer but if its just for browsing the net, what about an ipad?

Even if you don't take to it they are so hot right now it will cost you £50 or so to find out if its for you.

If you must have a Laptop then i'd go acerdirect. (at this budget)

You'd be hard pressed to find a 17 inch laptop for less than £400. The eMachine in the above link comes in at £330ish but not the greatest of makes.
Get a life?  Well, once I nearly found one, but the link was broken.

Bought this one. Bit more than planned but happy with it.

Quick Question; it has an HDMI port. Does that mean i can connect to my TV via HDMI cable or is for recieving an HD signal?

I made it my quest to seek out and listen to all the great British bands from years gone by to see for myself. What I found was that although all these other legendary British bands were f***ing great, the difference was that they had in my opinion nowhere near the quantity of good songs that Oasis have. Even the Beatles.

It's a netbook. That processor is a ULV, and good for 720p HD with ease.

Asking the question the other way round, what would it not be any good for?
