Obviously this is not a starting line up draft or anything. Just trying to make it clearer what we have got in terms of players.

Those with an unattributed position please can you post a preferred position so we can start to get a line-up sorted. If you have a number, or are planning to get one, on the back of your shirt post it here so we can avoid any clashes. I'm not sure if this is important but the other lot are doing it so what the hell.

I guess it's the most likely formation. It's simple and most people will have played in it. Back threes are complicated, particularly for people who don't know each otherand one up front is a difficult job, especially if we are struggling to keep the ball or support the frontman.

When we played Whitby the other day, we played a back 3, and I was one of the three.

It was a proper eye opener, I was shattered.

That's a fair shout with regards to a holding player. Does leave you with the problem of the other three either being too narrow thusly leaving the full backs exposed or a big space in the middle of the 'diamond' if two stay wide and the AM pushes on thinking he's got licence to do it.

I think it'll come together once we can see where the other lads think they can/should/want to play.

I'll probably be knocking around town from half 5 onwards as I'll be coming straight from work.

Stu already said we should try and meet up an hour or so before the 6.30 start time to get organised. Otherwise we'll be eating in to our game time. I'll be in the town from about 3.30 so will probably be wandering around SJP soaking up the atmosphere.

I'd like to get all the team selection sorted out before the day though, so we have time to make any alterations if somebody is unhappy with anything.
