Its interesting to see how many people follow us because of Alan Shearer. But I worry where our future foreign support will come from because who do we have now? Shola? Brilliant....

Owen could have been the next "big player" to get support from foreign countries. Has turned out quite diferently of course.
If I talk about football here and the name Owen falls it's almost always the same: "Owen? Does he still play?"

I got really interested in football in 1994 (aged 6) because Sweden did so well at the WC. Two years later my grandparents went through England by car on their way up to Scotland, and bought me an alarm clock with the club chest on. Love at first sight.

Must have been very early 70's if my memory serves me right .

Got my first strip as a 5 year old. Was proper hooked from around 1990 iirc. Aged about 9.

I started to be a Bayern Munich fan (like almost everyone in my area) but soon it became boring to win the league every year. In about 2000 I've watched the Premier League highligths and saw Shearer play for Newcastle and somehow became a NUFC supporter.
