Been to Magaluf once. It was s****.

Agreed. I thought Zante was worse though, only place i'd go back to that's vaguely like these is Ibiza.

Probably going to Ibiza in late summer (September) this year. Looking for a fairly chilled out time, but with plenty of people around when we go out for a drink.

Just slightly worried it'll all be people 'larging it' and full of stag dos etc.

Anyone who knows, it would be awesome to get some tips on where to go and if the sort of holiday I'm looking for is possible in Ibiza! Never been, and it's my friend's idea really.

Been to Magaluf 5 times and not seen one fight.

Not a chance! I went when I was about 17 and seen a silly amount. Ended up getting digged in the jaw off some bird whilst trying to split up her fighting with some other lass. I don't believe you haven't seen a single fight.

Serious.  Seen a couple of lads get chased down the strip by a couple of massive bouncers once, but never seen an actual fight.

You just clearly went there with the intention of causing bother.

My old bird spends her summers in Ibiza. Hires a motorbike and goes round the villages and quiet spots.

Just came back from Laganas. Cherry Bay is possibly the finest establishment in the Med.

Pretty sure I ended up there every night last year

Only true enjoyment I had was finding the Indie Club near the top of the strip. f***ing awesome in that place. Had to get kicked out at the end though, when we argued other people were still there, turns out it was just the staff.

You on about the one where you have to walk up the steps to get to?  Over the road from Burger King.

You've gotta go up steps yeah. Can't remember about Burger King. Think it might not be too far from that quite big BK across the road from what I think was Chaplins? Had a pool table near the back, by a stage that had a pretty damn good acoustic guy playing the first time I went there. Still remember a great cover he done of Fluorescent Adolescent. Don't know why it was so good, just loved it.

Sure it wasn't called Alex's? Remember that place being tolerable.

Not helping you here at all, just wondering if anyoneds been to Gran Canaria in January before? I'm going in the first week of January for a change as its meant to be hot all year. Going to  Puerto Rico for 2 weeks for hopefully some decent weather and to get away from this depressing place after new year.

Alan Shearer:

404 games for Newcastle - 206 goals
63 Caps for England - 30 goals
733 career games - 379 goals
Newcastle's all time leading goalscorer
Ended his career by scoring against the scum in a 4-1 win
Turned Man United down, but lived the dream Alan Shearer=TRUE LEGEND

After trying to search up, that'll be a no by what I can see in Facebook photos. But God knows. I kept being told that it was just called the Indie Club. But nothing's coming up when I search for that, except Mulligans. But can't find any pictures to find out. Really gonna bug me now.

Class that place.  Went there basically every night last year.  You paid something like 10 euro and got free drink from 12 to 3.

Alex's is areet but it's so small and the drink is well dear.

Zante is class. At least it was in 2004. The last time I went (09) it was almost a ghost town in comparison.

Nayone mentioned Croatia yet? Doesn't use the euro, hot as f***, decent 'proper' clubs (not feed the f***ing pigeons Linekers bars) and the women are unreal.

Aye. I don't think there's anywhere that can replicate the sight of Richie Hawtin dismantling Amnesia terrace, or John Digweed braying Space all owa.

Got absolutely smashed in there a couple of times. Was there 6 nights, 3 of them in BCM and the other 3 nights spent more than BCM comfortably. 2008 summer, 25 of us went out was mayhem

BCM is f***ing awful, like. Last of the 3 times I've gone to Magaluf, all my mates went to the foam party on our final night there. Me and one of the girls we'd met were the only ones that didn't want to go, so we just f***ed off to the indie club. Infinitely better final night. Especially when we met up with the others, went to find out if our mate had become this 17 year olds 25th f*** in 9 months, 4th on the holiday, and he was stumbling out of the hotel entrance telling us he couldn't, he turned the lights on and it was just a badly packed kebab. f***, what an ending.

  Well that's canny minging.

Wine gums have more alcohol content than the drinks in BCM. In the popcorn party when I was there, some lad was pissing into all the popcorn and unsuspecting folk were continuing to eat it.

 Man. Why would you dare eat the popcorn in that f***ing place? My mate's were just constantly drinking 'sex on the beach' in there. You feel yourself getting sober in that place, which then just depresses you as you look around at where you are.

not just clubs, it caters for all tastes, families, quiet/chilled, and the inetrior of the island is beautiful and worth more than a couple of days explore.
Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.
