Thanks for the kind words. Don´t think I will fully comprehend this before I come home to visit mom, and he isn´t there rumbling around, sleeping in our places, nagging for food acting like he haven´t been fed for a solid month (

). I honestly thought he´d last longer due to being so shy, thus avoiding getting hit by cars, taken by big birds etc. I´ve seen him being scared by a bumblebee once for crying out loud.
Still, he had an awesome life thanks to mom. He had a bad start in life. He was a result of incest. His first two months on this earth, he was living together with his mother, brother/father while the owner was working offshore, so there were no people around him. The owner tried to give him away when he came home, but nobody wanted him so he put in an ad in the local paper that the vet was coming in two days unless someone took him. When we got him, he was so scared of us he peed himself, and it took a long time before he got comfortable around us.
15 years later, he has had access to indoor and outdoors at his own will 24/7 every single day, one miao away from fresh fish, all the attention he craved whenever he wanted it. He was extremely attached to mom, so I feel very sad on her behalf as well.
