Xisco at Depor

Wait? Really? I have watched quite a few Depor games this season in Liga Adelante and I have never, ever seen him on the pitch.

4 appearances this season. 184 minutes altogether

Been crocked. Nee surprise there.

I'm sure we're on course for higher attendances this season as well.

With all the deals offered out this season i was staying clear of how much that would bring in :D

Filled seats bring in more money than empty seats. Ticket sales, programmes, food and drink, club shop, Shearer's bar etc. It all adds up.

A bit responsible for the current Barca prowess & Spain's world cup win?

Which Premier League club spent the most money in the January transfer window?

Went for QPR based on them signing Cisse, Zamora & Taiwo, and also being minted.

Was being said a lot on here that Chelsea ended up going above us on money spent too with that Bruyne kid or whatever, too? Would've taken a stab at them ahead of us too tbh.

Aye, Chelsea ended up the highest overall spenders this January but we spent the most on a single player.

The pub got it wrong then.

Depends if they included loan fees although Cisse, Zamora and Onuoha definitely cost more than £10m. The pub have messed that up.

http://www.clubcall.com/manchester-city/soriano-emerges-as-citys-main-man-1378927.html

Former Barcelona vice-president Ferran Soriano will be confirmed as Manchester City's next chief executive in succession to Garry Cook.

The Blues have been giving little away about their search for Cook's replacement following his resignation in September in the wake of a controversial email where he appeared to mock the mother of defender Nedum Onuoha.
That error in judgement left him with little choice but to step down from his post despite earning praise from City's owners for the positive work he did in the role during his time at the club.
It's being claimed down under that Australian Rugby Union boss John O'Neill had been in the running for the job but the Manchester Evening News are now reporting that has missed out to Soriano.
The 44-year-old won't be able to take up position immediately as he still has some loose ends to tie up following the collapse of Spanair last week.
That could delay his entrance to the £2m-a-year job for up to six weeks, but City are convinced he is worth waiting for.
Soriano is very well respected in the game after becoming a powerful voice in football during his spell as general manager at the Nou Camp.
He oversaw a dramatic rise in Barca's commercial success as they went from the world's 13th richest club to second behind Real Madrid as revenue soared.

Soriano? If there's a man capable of wrecking ManCity, it's him

Great P&R guy though.

Still, what a c***, he has left 4000 people on the streets due to his inept stewardship of Spanair (not entirely his fault, with the depression and all that, but still he was a horrible CEO that consistently lied about the state of the company) and he jumps straight into another big money glamour job.

Deloitte money list.

Any chance of you appearing there in a few years? (NUFC placed regularly not too long ago)

I think our latest financial results released were for the Championship season. So I wouldn't be surprised to see us back up or around there when the extra revenue from being in the Premier League is taken into account.

The ones there are 2010/11 figures.

:giggs:

I reckon Giggs is still a really good player like. Sure, nowadays he's not as a good as he was in the days of old but he can still do a decent job imo. Can't believe he's still going and performing at the highest level. Respect tbh.

(Still a bit of a dick for what happened last year with the CTB/injunction stuff).

Well, I understand that London is a wealthier place than Barcelona, so they can squeeze more out of you. We could probably jack up our ST prices, since there's a several year waiting list, but it would be deeply unpopular.

You've got the big stadium already, we haven't started yet so we're raising money.   When it's built prices will still remain high as the stadium loans have to be paid.  Arsenal's tickets, generally speaking, are more expensive than ours.

Speaking as an away fan they aren't. At least we haven't been cat A at Spurs since we got relegated. Seem to remember it cost £48 the year we went down - same as Chelsea, think I paid £32 for Arsenal that year.
Under-21 coach David Platt added: "If Shola recognises what he's got, all hell could break loose."
