Information for the game:

Kit - Black & White NUFC home shirt (any vintage), preferably with black or white shorts and black or white socks. You will need a pair of shinpads.

Cost - £2 each

The guy has said he'll give us the pitch for free because "he follows Newcastle United whereever they go" (and did mention that he could 'sort us out' again if we needed it on Saturdays). However, I do think it might be nice if we maybe chipped in a few quid to this bloke unless he really doesn't want us to (a sentiment echoed by Rob from Peterborough)/buy the guy a crate of (decent) beer.

Pitch - the pitch is 3G - the very same as Coach Lane and Newcastle Uni.

Time - there isn't a strict time constraint from the guy at Blakelaw, but Rob thinks ideally we'll kick off for 10.30, so that means arriving at the venue for ideally 9.45-10, probably at the very latest 10.10. Obviously this means we should be done by about just before 12pm.

Accessibility - the nearest Metro Station (from my Google Maps search) is Kingston Park, unfortunately it's about half an hours walk away from the venue. This either means you can drive, get a lift off someone, plan ahead and arrive at the Metro in plenty of time (possibly meet other people for the walk up, as to not get lost?) or I suppose get a taxi if you have to. And, apparently:

The 32 or X87 from town will drop you a lot closer than the Metro.

Location

This shows the route from Kingston Park metro (A) to the Venue (B).

This shows the location of the place from a wider view. Again, Kingston Park metro is (A) and the Venue is (B).

The place is on Cragston Avenue in Blakelaw, will provide a postcode / sat nav thing later.

I can't really 100% confirm, but I'll put my hat in.

The only reason I couldn't come would be if it co-incided with something missus based (i.e. flying offski)

Actually, on that note whatever position Slim plays for NOFC, make sure he can take alot of shots, nearly broke my hand with one in warmup,  I took some shots of Steve Bowey (ex Bristol City, I think he took their set pieces) and Slims had far more venom in them.  Don't think I've experienced such a powerful strike before.

Better speak to pilko O0
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Ha! Joephix, mate you are welcome to play, doesn't matter how often you post.

As long as you're not replacing me, that is. ;)

I'll express an interest but won't know my shifts until 3-4 weeks beforehand, so not going to confirm.

He does not post much but tbh he knows everything that is going on on this form....Called lurkers i think :)

I'd pay good money to see Madras and wormy start up front.
Got a vibrtating love egg stuck in wor lass last night. The string snapped to get it out. It was remote control so I kept turning it on, then i realised she was nearly crying. Had to fish it out. Never mind.

I looked the devil in the eye, went home and jerked off. That's standard procedure.

If I don't have a game on this day (and I don't think I will have), I might throw my hat into the ring.  However, there's a reason why I ref instead of playing...
