They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Gronkowski :aww:

Brady has quite the arm...

If Gronk sees action in the season, I'm winning.

Nailed on 2 TE starters - Crumpler and Gronkowski for week one. 2 WR - Moss and Welker.

Well 11 more days then it's off to florida we go for a fortnight.

I've got a pretty diverse start to the new season. Week 1 Fins V Bills huddled in front of a 10 inch laptop in a Copenhagen hotel room prior to departure, Week 2 Fins v Vikes, probably the Miller Ale House in Lauderdale. Week 3 , Sunday night football against the Jests, Dolphin Stadium upper level sideline  :celb:

Bills are going to thrash them so thoroughly you might just cancel the entire trip. :snod:

Now then you and I both know that's not gonna happen  :nope:

Bills after Leinart!

Is it sad that I'm so unbelievably excited?

 I remember when Buffalo got Bledsoe and I was like "YEAH!"

Yes it is sad. He's utter s****

Leinart will never amount to anything. He's the same as Brady Quinn, played in an extremely favorable situation in college and never really had to work hard to be good. Picked in the first round and thought they'd just cruise their way into the NFL and be one of the league's best QB's.

Neither have had the metal to deal with the adversity they've faced, both of them are done mentally IMO. The only big payday they'll ever pick up again is if they make a gay porno together, could call it 'Bumming Busts'.

Still, he'd be a big improvement for the Bills.

Anyone interested in C J Spiller? I would like a good WR and another RB in return.

Isn't he in dire need of a half-decent O-line?

Bledsoe at least had a decent season and a half, and had a cannon for an arm.

Lienart's girly noodle arm in the Buffalo winds? :frantic:

Isn't that one of the reasons you lot passed on him in the draft.

Who the hell knows why those assholes do any of the s*** they do. They don't know why, so we won't.

That was probably like five GM's ago. Shower of s*** organization.

Bears v. Browns, pre-season football.   :clap2:  Cutler v. Delhomme for maybe one series, and then we see Todd Collins and the fearsome depth of the Cleveland football Browns.

I'm guessing 10 minutes before I change the channel.  Maybe less.  They just kicked off, and already I don't give a s***.

Oh my God. Todd Collins is still in the f***ing league?!

I remember convincing myself that he would be a great successor to Jim Kelly.

He's still here.  His 50 year old ass just threw a sensational 4 yard screen pass on 3rd and 14.

Colt McCoy fumbles his first snap, and Collins is back out again.  Jesus this is bad.

Looking better than Colt McCoy at the moment.

Just been on Ticketmaster.  Seriously tempted to get a ticket to the Dallas/Green Bay game at Lambeau.

I'd be interested in him, but I don't have a comparable RB to offer.  Unless you rate Donald Brown.

Chicago, how concerned should I be about my starting fantasy QB this year then?

Cowboys first team offense has been woeful in preseason, Romo getting pounded from all angles. How hopeful are you that they'll get things right eventually.

People need to study how I conducted myself in my trade with QBG btw, absolute negotiational masterclass it was.

Went vaguely like this...

Shak: Hey, would you be at all interested in trading Jackson for Flacco and Bowe?

QBG: Yes, that sounds like a very intriguing deal. Let me think about it.

*Later that day*

Shak: So did you make a decision yet?

QBG: Not yet, Chicago is offering me a trade too so I'm gonna have a think about it.

Shak: (*FUCCCKKK!!!11*) OK mate, let me know anyway.

*1 hour later*

Shak: Would you be interested in Shiancoe, I'll add him to deal if you want?

QBG: Very interested, I'll get back to you.

*8 seconds later*

Shak: OK, final offer! I'll add Raiders RB Michael Bush to the deal. Accept you b******!!

QBG: Yeah, that'll do so.

Shak:  :smug:

QBG:

I'm concerned.  The expectation this year is a championship, and there is nothing to demonstrate we are any better than last season.

Getting Colombo and Kosier back will help get Romo some protection, but that isn't my big worry.  He's one of those QBs that gets better when he gets out of the pocket and makes things happen.  My big worry is the running game.  Last year it seemed like we had a problem getting yardage on first down, and too many blown plays where Barber runs into a brick wall.  We need a big year out of Felix and to lean far less heavily on Barber (although I guess it won't hurt you if Romo is throwing the ball 40 times every game).

I still like Romo in fantasy.  He is a top 5 QB and has the added advantage of probably starting in the fantasy playoffs because the NFC East is too tough to win with any games to spare.

Wade Phillips will never win a thing. I voodoo'd the f*** out of a picture of him.
