My opinion on which is better from series one and two changes on a daily basis, the rest is very consistent though.

I agree with this. Series 2 is awesome, it also contains what is probably my favourite episode, the one where Mark meets Darryl and Jez meets Gog.

Why do people think series 5 isnt that good? I really thought it was a return to form after the terrible season 4.

I just watched an episode last night, I couldnt stop laughing at the 'ah women, look at them, but I know their secret, they've all got them...vaginas, shes got one, shes got one, shes DEFINITELY got one' bit.  I quite often find myself doing that.

I really liked Series 5, not sure why it's not rated... to me all of Peep Show is brilliant, can't choose my favourite.

Mowen said it up the page I think, there are funny bits in Series 5 but the whole thing to me feels like they tried to shove loads and loads of plot into it. The part you mentioned, "not the megatron!", the cleanshirt reference, and the Orgones episode (genius) are high points, but it had a bit of a linear, A-B-C feel to it. Every episode was: Mark finds another woman, thinks she's "the one" and it turns out she's not. Meanwhile something happens to Jez and Super Hans as a sub-plot.

Series 6 needs to up the ante imo.

I just didn't think it worked. The characters seemed too old to still be doing it (particularly Jez and Super Hans) and there was the ludicrously s**** and unfunny story of Mark falling in love with everyone he saw. I don't know, it's hard to articulate what was wrong with it, but it felt a lot more cringeworthy than funny compared to the previous series.

I find it strange you don't like series 4 tbh, immeasurably funnier than the slightly weak series 3 imo.

The first time I watched the episode with "Saz" the Australian girl, when she cops off with Jeff at his party and he's left on his own, I just felt quite sad and depressed, I didn't find it at all funny.

Yep, absolutely s**** that episode. There weren't any I was that impressed by in series 5, despite the odd moment of genius like Jez leaving the play in episode one early.

I suppose its what youre looking for really. I thought series 4 was just totally preposterous. Series 5 wasn't as wacky and out there, and benefited for it imo. I agree about the Saz episode though, that was a low point.

Absolutely, but I think it's more the surprise, never spoken to anyone before who thought series 5 was anything but the worst (to varying degrees).

I actually thought the last episode of Series 5 was decent enough, the cult thing. Purely because of them sitting in Mark's room playing fantasy war quest with headsets on.

Anyone know if there are any reruns on lately? Can't seem to find it anywhere, and don't really have the money to by DVDs.

The Mummy, coffee hurry fucky uppy is the best episode in Series 5 imo.

Gunny made me laugh a lot actually. Mainly because it was exactly what would have happened if a gun had somehow turned up at our house, we'd have come up with a stupid name for it and used it all the time.

I love that bit.

Also the part when his date discovers "The Megatron" and Mark immediately turns to the burglar and says "Did you do that? You sick little b******."

My all-time favourite Peep Show moment is just one of them little random Jez bits. When he goes for the interview at JLB and pulls a face at the interviewer so as not to come across too clever. Just the particular face he pulls; p*ss mesen.
