Exactly, Pilko if you want me to I'll ring them, I deal wth negotiations all the time at work.  It sounds gay but, I reckon we can get the gill along even if it's just on their website.  Also if the club won't give us kits i can see them running.

"Newcastle are in such a financial mess that they can't even donate (£400 worth) kits to their loyal fans, in a match against their bitter rivals Sunderland, which once and for all will decide who are the better fans, and will go down in history as being a week on sunday"

I'm not bad, do italot at work, one example is convincing high level management in a multi national corporation that despite my low level I was the man to lead a key project that could synergise multi million dollar savings.

Edit: Just read that again I sound like I'm at work with my americaised buzzwords.  They love s*** like that,

All you need to do is make them think you know more than them about the subject and sell them a vision.

Pretty sure they'd be the first people you could sell a vision to.

Gorilla mate you have my full "permission" (hate to use that word makes me a c*** (I am allowed to call myself that aren't I Dave?)) to talk to the club about the kits.

Good idea, if Gorilla can't get the kits we'll just order 11 pants man outfits.

I think the idea of talking to Surf was to find out how he had gone about selling the idea of the IFA to Preston and other clubs, particularly as he has already spoken with people at NUFC and successfully used the Academy pitches for an IFA Cup semi-final last season.

If he already has a contact in the club it may be worth going through this person to begin with as they will be familiar with the concept of the IFA.

Bear in mind, that its all very well calling ourselves an 'official supporters team' but we're not and we've not even played a 'competitive' match yet, let alone complete a league season. We don't actually have anything concrete to show the club, in order to generate some support, so please don't go in guns blazing saying we're x, y, z when, for the time being, we're not.

I read a comment on the main football forum asking why NUSC hadn't help with the NOFC team and it was just cringeworthy, I understand people are enthusiastic about the idea; however, it may be a good idea if people take a step back and allow a few people to start putting the wheels in motion - too many cooks, broth, spoilt, etc.
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Aye, or a plethora of home kits.

Tbh, I don't think getting kits in time for this mackems match is a priority, use this as a practice match to see how successful/easy to run these matches are and then we can use this experience to go back to the club and say how we need some matching kits.

This will require someone to bring their camera and actually take photos of the team before the match.

It's not a massive priority no, but for a fiver! It'd make life alot easier.

Saying that, surely everyone has at least 1 home kit they can call upon??

well, it'll look more ragtag, which will be ideal for putting our case across to the club afterwards

we're representing the club and building relationships with opposing supporters, please can you supply some kits for us to use for these matches, we've got the local press involved, etc.

Don't have the time to do it I'm afraid, just trying to help get things off the ground and organise a couple of matches
