Cheers

Honestly think it will all come back to me straight away, had my last lesson about three years ago jacked it in after failing the test on my 2nd attempt couldn't be arsed with it and started working in town so didn't really need a car as it was cheaper getting the bus in.

Aiming for the end of March to pass booked 20 hours to start of with and see how it goes, been doing the Theory all day on my phone at work good little AA app for that.

4 Hours of lessons in so far and I've not killed anyone or wrote off the car, it's going well.

It all came back pretty quick tbh had 10 mins at an industrial estate on my first lesson then was let loose around Blyth, just brushing up on the test manoeuvres and getting practise in.

Definitely getting worse at driving, really just don't understand it. The downward spiral of my abilities, especially concentration and discipline are frightening.

The place is a s*** hole yes but i'm finding it a lot easier learning to drive round there than i did up in Alnwick. Not sure if it's one these myths you hear but apparantley it's a lot easier to pass there than at Alnwick, you can pretty much fail the test within 2mins of coming out of Alnwick test centre.

You're meant to get better not worse man

Nah in all seriousness you are an inexperienced driver so this is surely to be expected so I wouldn't worry, just keep focused and try to enjoy it, the more you drive the more consistency you'll get into into your driving and therefore the better you'll become its as simple as that. f***er I was all over the place for at least a few weeks after passing my test, you'll be fine.

Srsly, dribbling retards and 95 year old cripples can drive with ease, it's really a piece of p*ss. It's just too easy to psyche yourself out and become nervous, but there's very little reason for it.

The first time I drove after passing my test was driving out of the car dealership by myself a couple of weeks later. Stalled 8 times at the junction

Aye, trying to over-think everything just results in worse driving, although I think it's natural to do so when you're in the car on your own for the first couple times. I soon found I generally made far fewer silly mistakes if I just put my iPod on and relaxed.
