He'll play right back I'd imagine. I reckon Beye's career may be virtually over.

don't underestimate Beye man.. He's not a spineless c*** like Duff, Smith etc... regardless of how bad his injury is he won't settle for mediocrity

How is Beye's career virtually over?

He's 32 this year, and attempting to come back from a very serious knee injury. I just think he'll struggle, especially considering how long it took this year for his fitness and form to return. :undecided:

Out of form Beye was still a good player, certainly good enough.

Meh. Not bowled over with this at all.
It's a shame we've ended up with these liars, charlatans and shitehawks.

He's a good signing but him, Nolan and Lovenkrands just won't be enough. Even with Nolan we only have 3 midfielders.

32 isn't that old and he looks like quite an athletic player to me, so i think we'll get a couple more years out of him.

Pleased to have him on board, could we finally see a starting 11 without Damien Duff?!

was just thinking that, he mentions specialising in one position as one of his reasons for moving, surely that cant be at right back as once fit again the shirt is beye's?

Another thought, what about a starting 11 without Duff or Butt!

:clap2:

i thought both of them were good against the mackems tbh, although then again every player was good against them except shola and carrol.

Ryan's delivery of a dead ball is absolutely unbelievable.  It is as good as anyone I've ever seen, ever worked with or been associated with – and that includes a certain gent who now plays in America.

Welcome to the club chap and the very best of luck.

Hope the lad doesn't mind rolling his sleeves up and grafting.
The club comes first.

The one thing about Raylor that fills me with optimism is that having him in our team may add that little extra fear in the opponent.

I've had this feeling that for a while, the likes of Martins and Jonas get scythed down without the fear that we'd hurt a team from the set-piece.

Such a situation could leave opponents in two minds.
I looked into the eye of the Island and what I saw was beautiful.

For f***'s sake... I've got to do something else for a bit, the negativity on here is spectacular.

Be very nice to actually have a threat from freekicks around the edge of the penalty area. It's been a long time.

I'm upset that we didn't sign more, but I am happy that we signed Raylor and Nolan, and Lovenkrands has looked ok so far. Raylor is the kind of player you want in an injury-ravaged team, since he can play in a few positions competently. Also, he probably sees the club as a step up and will approach football here with determination and passion.
