Look outside, are the streetlights on? Do any houses in your street have lights on?

Try and work out if it's just your house or a wider area.

Checked the fusebox?

I'm off to bed! Goodluck.

Unless you have storage heaters and no gas then heating should run on gas so you should have warmth either way!

Did you speak to them about it on that number? Says on the website not to presume they know about it, just in case everyone has gone to bed and nobody has informed them. You'll want them to get their engineers on it asap I'm sure.

Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

yep!  Happened here on Cardigan Terrace (Heaton). Done it a few times recently.

f***ing pain in the arse, 'cos its been happening when I'm asleep, and once it comes back on, all the f***ing house alarms reset themselves, and no-one in each house rushes to turn them off, so I'm woken up.

I am in Gateshead and we are having the power dim and come straight back up this morning, has happened 3 or 4 times so far.  Luckily the house alarms have not started yet, probably temping fate there like!!

We are having no problems with the power in Blyth. Its a 33% chance of having no power due to prefering crack and white lightning to comfort/being tapped into the mains to keep the skunk plantation nice and warm/being a normal person who uses electricity normally (just before anyone else makes wise cracks). I fall into the third catagory.

I thought there was a powercut in my street last night, until a bus went past with its lights on.

Parts of walker went out three times before Xmas for several hours. It turned out the people erecting the new street lights were less than scrpulous in their work.  Last time it happened the street lights went out but we all had house electricity!

Just had a power cut in Holystone (near Palmersville and Benton).
"Thier" is not a word. "Their" is the correct spelling.
"Loose" is not the opposite of win. "Lose" is the correct spelling.

Reminds me...we had a black out in our street the other night. Police told us all to stay inside until they'd shot the b******.

All of my lights aren't working downstairs, yet the upstairs ones are fine.

Also, some sockets aren't working upstairs, yet are fine downstairs.

Any ideas?
