Bears beat Indy.  I don't think many people predicted that.

I suppose we'll see tomorrow if the Vikings hype is all it is cracked up to be.

That would be the annual Viking hype, aye we'll see

Any chance they'll do anything of note this year?

I doubt it.

If they don't come 4th in their division I'll be impressed.

Saying that, victory yesterday. A decent victory at that. You never know.

The Falcons will be the surprise of the season imo.

What a start last night, Matt Ryan could be the next big NFL QB.

And Mike Turner setting a franchise rushing record on his debut. I'm keeping an eye on the Falcons this season. They seem to have turned things around, new coach, new dressroom staff and they got that general manager from the Pats. Things are looking different.
"All I have ever wanted to do is play for Newcastle. That’s been the case since I was a teenager, playing for the juniors and reserves, and it’s still the same now. Every time I pull on the black and white shirt – and even more so now that I have number nine on my back – it means the world to me so to be able to do that for at least the next five years is brilliant.” - Andy Carroll, October 8th 2010.

They beat Detroit man, I'd wait a while before getting excited.

Ryan has potential to be an elite QB, but not this year I wouldn't have thought. I'll be very surprised if they get anywhere near 8 wins, particularly with New Orleans and the very good looking Panthers in their division.

Anyway, what a wonderful day that was. :D

Chargers lost, The Bears dominated Indy (didn't I tell you the defence would be awesome again, bullivye :pow: )and The Patriots are no more. Feel bad for Brady, looked a terrible injury and you never wish that on any individual. Guess they won't be running up the score on teams this year, though.

Dallas looked very good, that offensive line of theirs is epic. Not sure how much of it was to do with The Browns pathetic D, but impressive nonetheless.

Now for the real business though, don't fail me Broncos...

Hehe yeah I know, just "a crappy team beating another crappy team" to quote something i read on some forum.  :yikes:

Still think that the Falcons wont be that crappy this season.

And Brady's injury surely will shake things up. Its bad news for the whole league, losing a star QB like that.

Unless the backup is the same class as Brady, I think the door is wide open in the AFC East. Interested to see how the unwashed heathens play against them next week.

Not gargling your marbles or anything Mike, but I really think the Bills are the team to watch in the East in terms of challenging NE. I just don't see it with the Jets. They barely squeezed out a win against the Dolphins (how jammy was that 2nd Favre TD?) how good can they really be.

If Lynch stays healthy though, the Bills could be a force.

Gonna be very interesting to see what happens to NE though. The D looked quite suspect at times last year, and the pressure is gonna be on them to step up and start helping to win games. The Pats running game should step up and be effective, and with Randy Moss you're always gonna mount something through the air. But they won't be putting up 40 points a game like last year, and with that in mind opposing offenses won't have to score pretty much every drive to stay in the game like was often the case last season.

BTW NFL.com gamepass has a new service this year, you can watch any game you want streamed in HD, I've looked at the demo and it looks great.

Watched all my games (which weren't on sky) via similar thing with Yahoo last year but the quality was Youtube-esque, this looks light years better and no buffering $24.99 a game mind

Agree with the Bills comments, they're young and have quietly been getting better.

The NE defence is ageing and without Brady in the O, they're going to be on the field a lot longer in games than they've been used to, the age could well start showing up

I'll tell you this: I've been here so many goddamn times over the last ten years. It is a fact that the Bills are almost unbeatable on opening day at home. Hell, we smashed the Pats 31-0 a few years back, and I floated all over the place on cloud nine talking about winning a ring for the old boys (we're gannin win the leeg!). How did that work out? A s*** season and a final game against the Pats that Belichek deliberately won 31-0.

I'm not quite ready to claim anything. So far it's the same movie with new actors.

I bought this yesterday and its brilliant. Especially for people living in a country like mine were one sports channel bought the TV rights but they show one game very 2 weeks and block out NASN on other networks.

Quality depends on your internet connection though. I was streaming 870kbps most of the time, and I was very happy with it.

Bought a 1 week pass but will probably pay for the whole season to follow "your team".
