Brett Favre is in Minnesota now. I don't know if he's on the team, but he's in the state.

Wish the damn season would start. We've only got one nationally televised game, and it's the goddamn opener.

edit: vs the f***ing Patriots, so it's not even about us.

What about Favre for Newcastle manager?

He couldnt honestly make things any worse tbh.
Of course. I've been grooming Pedro for ages just to get a crack at that starfish.

We'd still be losing a manager every 3 months. Favre would retire, only to come back again. 4 times a season.

Cleveland Brown fan here, though feel like changing team ever since Randy Lerner took over Aston Villa, as its like a conflict in interest! Used to support the Seattle Seahawks, during my obsession with Seattle phase, but stopped when they reached the Super Bowl.

 >:D Damn!

OH no... are you are... Steelers fan!?
No, I think he's a Bills fan, so you two can wallow in misery together. I personally am a Ravens fan who will thoroughly enjoy it when the team dismantles the Bronws (again) next year. >:D

Derrick Mason retired today. Good player, played injured for the entire season last year. This is bad for the Ravens. Now they have no receivers. Receivers are generally considered useful in gridiron.

If they feel they need a receiver then both Marshall and Boldin can be got via trade.

And Dan you seem like a nice guy but you really do make some dense posts.
I know Boldin, and I would like him, but (excuse my ignorance) who is Marshall? What team does he play for, and do you think he'd be a good acquisition?

Seen as M.Vick doesn't have a team anymore. I'm moving on.

I'm now going to become obsessed with Derrick Williams, now of the Detroit Lions, formerly a Nittany Lion.

He will probably never get a game, but I personally hope he can make it in the NFL, did a very solid job for Penn State when I've watched them over the last 2 years. Problem is, his lightning pace may not be so outstanding in the NFL. We shall see. He was a 3rd round pick, I'm sure he can achieve something.

Lions are actually playing against the Falcons today pre-season. Don't know what to expect of the Falcons this season tbh. I'm certainly not optimistic.

On the plus side, I will be in the states for SUPERBOWL. Mint. Mint mint mint. Beats sitting on my own eating chicken wings in my boxer shorts.

Bills fan don't have s*** on Browns fans. Browns fans would kill to trade miseries. A Bills fan can shout until blue in the face about how bad those four years were, but if a Browns fan comes in, we have to shut up and get out of the big comfy chair.

It's kind of like a black dude talking about slavery and being p*ssed, and then a Native American walks in.

Was this not half the point of signing TO?

Also, on the topic of the NFL, behold the majesty of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium (fitted out for the Chelsea friendly later this summer).   :smitten:

nice
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Bret Farve is turning into a reet joke. He should just let it go, step down and actually RETIRE, instead of the pseudo-retirements he's pulled for the last 4 years. He's tarnishing his legacy, not only in the stat department, but in the reputation field too.

Glad the Browns didn't try and lure him in to 'coach' Quinn, as they're already stocked to the hilt with shitty Jet rejects.

Some decent highlights there.

He's basically a monstrous WR whose an absolute nightmare to tackle in the open field. In terms of pure talent, he's easily a top 10 receiver in the league.

On the flip side, he's a complete idiot who has more brushes with the law since being drafted than he has touchdown catches. And he has plenty of TD catches.

That is a magnificent stadium. Shame about the team playing there.

We'll get five national games next year, when TO is gone and we're probably s*** again,

It's always very difficult to tell how guys will transition from college to the NFL, as the style of play is so different at the two levels.

I don't enjoy college football so I can't say I've seen a whole lot of Sanchez. The one full game I did see him play he looked like an absolute God, but the opposition were desperate so you really can't tell.

Physically he has all the tools to succeed, much will depend on how well coached he is. If Ryan can take the Jets D to the next level, it'll make things a whole lot easier on the young QB. (like Flacco last year in Baltimore)
