Yes, we all know wrestling is very gay and stupid.

But if Westlife get their own thread then Ric f***ing Flair is getting one too.  :dave:

Officially retired from pro-wrestling tomight after a 35 year career, and in style too with a fantastic match against one of his best friends, the incredible Shawn Michaels.

The best wrestler ever, absolute 100% pure legend.

Hogan has to be the best IMO Shak, he changed wrestling completely first in the 80's when he was the main drive behind the WWF and then in WCW when he was behind the whole NWO stable.

Shawn Michaels was always my favourite as a bairn like. Throwing Marty Janetty threw that window.  >:D
"I took the decision to resign in September 2008 only after very careful and anxious consideration. The decision to resign was one of the most difficult decisions that I have ever had to take in my life. I believe that anybody who knows me and my attachment to Newcastle United and the North East in general will understand how difficult this must have been. I very much hope that the decision of the Tribunal now confirms why I felt that I had no option but to resign from the position as Manager of the Club that I love."- Kevin Keegan speaking on 02/10/2009

Bobby The Brain was class. Him and Jesse Ventura being the best colour commentators ever by a country mile.

As for Flair, he looked genuinely gutted to be going, but my God was it due. I doubt it's the last we'll see of him in wrestling but I hope we don't see any Foley-style comebacks.

Living legend, without a doubt. However, if we're talking the best ever then The Hulkster or (dare I say it) The Rock would get my vote ahead of him.

In terms of most influential in making wrestling as popular as it became, no arguements there.

In terms of actually being able to put together an entertaining, believable (in a relative sense) match, Hogan wasn't fit to lace Flair's boots.

Isnt he one of these s*** wrestlers only capable of s*** moves like closelines and slams i.e. nothing technical
“What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.” - Sir Bobby Robson
