Yeah, I know. Should have made it clearer. Other disc drives would take the IDE connectors as it stands but the sticking point is that previous attempts to access or use the hdd to retrieve data or whatever haven't worked (using similar motherboard chipsets) so I'm not sure it'd work when I get my new mobo either. If I can't access or retrieve the data on there then that'd be too bad (South Park episodes are the least of my worries when it comes to it), if I have to reformat the hdd then fine but tbh I'm thinking I might as well just get a whole new SATA hard drive anyway because the one I've got now isn't as big as I'd like it (about 180gb, not enough really).
Might get an adapter anyway, but we'll see. No point ordering anything like that till I've tested the new mobo.
