Bad Religion
The Living End
The Explosion
Rancid

The Explosion are really good. I don't like the singer of Bad Religion's voice, it's really drony. The Misfits are pretty meh, get annoying imo.

I saw rise against live around 3 weeks ago! Leftover Crack are in sheffield whilst I'm on holiday  :undecided: and if I want to see them I have to go to Bristol. This is the last tour they're doing and then they're splitting. I'm gonna be devastated if I don't get to see them.

Better than any s**** you can think up, Chezworth.  Beyond the 'safe' answers, obviously...
You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Student says " I am very discouraged. What should I do?" Master says, "encourage others."
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
It takes a wise man to learn from his mistakes, but an even wiser man to learn from others.
This is what should be done. By one who is skilled in goodness, and who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied. Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.

A lot of it is s****, to be honest.  Some extremely special talent in amongst it mind.

I don't get defensive about genres anyway, just about talent.  Huv that.

Anyway, what's the thread about?  I like some punk too.

Went to Holidays in the Sun (punk festival) in Blackpool in 2002.  It was amazing, up for three days straight on speed and drink but you know the script.

I was there to see The Business, The Exploited and Cock Sparrer mainly, but there were plenty to see..

I'd say the better bands of metal are as goood if not better than the best punk.  We'll have to just disagree though.  Don't care about either genre, that festival had a lot of crap may I say.  Not interesting in the slightest, just like a lot of the s*** at Download.  Both great to get blootered to.

I prefer to listen to the bands I like, rather than beat people with a pointless stick about a genre's social effects.  You like metal bands, and would like more if I told you were to go..
