Name that tune
« on: Wednesday 25 April 2007, 11:42:46 PM »
It's a long shot, but....

What's the tune that goes

B'dup dup dup dup dooooooo
b'dup badup dup do doooooo
B'dup dup dup dup dooooooo
b'dup badup dup do doooooo doooooooo

It was on the start of the cricket highlights tonight.

Heard it in a few pubs and clubs and that but the cricket just reminded me of it.

Sounds like that flat Eric tune, just better.

"gary gilmores eyes" the adverts
Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

When did you last hear the cricket theme tune in a club?

It was used on a highlights package at the start of the show.

Well I did wonder.

I didn't see it tonight and didn't know whether you'd know that was the normal cricket music. Didn't see you mention the club bit.

It's good but it's not right.

That's VERY similar, but too up tempo.

There's no vocal in it, just a slower more bass heavy version of that beat.

That's what I was thinking. Just been playing it to see if it fits HF's excellent (I'm sure) description.

You've gone even higher tempo WITH a vocal again.

This is really starting to bug me now.  I must know what it is!

Vocal doesn't matter mate, Sky would be using a version without them so ignore them.

BBC1.

Nah, I'm sure there's no vocal, it's a proper repetitive club tune.  I'm thinking p*ssed up nights in digital.  25 minutes of b'dup dup dup dup dooooo.

I don't suppose there's any way you could source the cricket highlights so we could hear it?

You could always email the BBC - they do have an enquiry line of this sort of thing. blueyes.gif
