Healthcare will be privatised, its an economic inevitability. Even the french have an insurance based system.

Depressing to hear that, but given I know your authority on this particular issue, I'll concede that point. f*** me though, that really is depressing. :(

There should always be some form of free healthcare here. Even in Germany where they  have the insurance system which seems like a rip off...Ultimately you would get treated.

Its called a two-tier system.

For him, it's more crosses, a bit of a more direct style, whereas I'm more the kind of player who likes to play short passes.

That's all well and good Cheez/GM/Keef....

But what are your ideas?? :knuppel2:

Midget porn to be free to air in Australia.

What, like throw naked dwarfs out of a plane?

I'd go with that but I think people need 6 month to look for work and then this kind of thing should kick in...

  at both of you.

Healthcare is its own worst enemy. You provide better palliative and curative care and people live longer and more expensively. The greying population needs to be paid for by the working population. At some point the figures no longer add up and therefore the funding mechanism needs to change.

As with anything, equity of access to services is paramount but some of that 'fairness' needs to be traded off for improvements in raising finance. I'm a social-welfarist, so all possible worlds can be aspired to.

6 months to work and then if you're an unemployed dwarf, you're stripped naked and thrown out of a plane. Excellent.

I think drug patents and licensing needs to be looked at. That is one of the costs (I/m guessing) what India did with Generics is the way forward.
Drug companies should have 10 protection on their idea  and then we need to let people copy it.

Actually, if that was what Invicta was punting at, I'd be all for that.

Plus, I really don't see why we can't have schools that educate kids in technical skills (esp. those who are unlikely ever to aspire to or reach University) so that there should be technical colleges training up kids in a whole range of skills from bricklaying, plumbing, all the trades basically (electricians, plasterers etc etc) - f*** knows there's a shortage of those skills available in many areas across the UK, and areas of high unemployment - surely it would make sense to put the two issues together and come up with a sensible solution?

Drugs are about 7% of the NHS budget iirc.

I have some bizarre theories on patents. Not sure this is the time or the place. Home House?  ;)

Early streaming has repeatedly proven to be a bad idea. Move on.

Someone should invent some sort of thing that does stuff that's really useful, that hasn't been though of before and basically it should be really ground-breaking and change the world. That would be ace.

One of those baddie robots from the first Robocop that automatically hunts charvas would suffice, no biggie.

Good.

Abolishing time limits on patents allows lower launch prices as the NPV calculation has longer to re-coup initial investments. I've already said too much.
