The Hairymans in Lemington (Can't remember it's real name). First went i with me uncle when I was 15, loads of mad looking gypsies sitting round the coal fire singing. Never got any better on further visits.

Scotties wasn't to bad, although never ventured in after dark.

Wasn't mad or hard enough to drink in the Bangla. Heard as few tales so stayed away. Building has now been done up as fancy apartments for a few hundred grand a piece.

Nee more pubs left in Lemington now, just a couple of clubs. Oh how times change.

Hairymans heheh same as you I went in when I was about 13-14, load of gypsies off the camp used to get in.

Lemington could do with another bar I reckon, the Labour club is full of utter losers and c***s, the Social is too clanish, and the Perry is full of little mongs who think they're rock.

I'm saying Lemington could do with another bar, the main problem is with that, is the place is full of dickheads.

I've never been in, you couldn't pay me enough to try, but the Hare and Hounds in the Byker estate looks as rough as they come.

It was a sad day in my household when they burned down the the Comrades Club. Most of my family worked there at one time or another. Was a quality place with a quality pint.

Used to drink alot in the Vallum but ain't been in for a long time as I now live in Prudhoe. Your right about the perry though, always has had alot of arseholes.

My uncle collects glasses in the Labour club, the useless get.

Whats the pub on the corner near Mcdonalds in Byker? I went in there last year for a few pints with me mates cos one of them used to work in McDonalds. Went for a p*ss in the toilets and they were fuckin awful. When i came out i said quietly enough to my mate "them toilets are manky, they fuckin stink", then all of a sudden the barmaid came up to me and shouted "if you don't like them then you can f*** off out of here now you cheeky b******"  I had only been in there 5 minutes  Shithole

Nah!

Reds upstairs up until last year looked a bit gloomy and manky and served in perspex glasses, but it was never rough, not by a long shot.

It was tarted up over the summer and looks a lot better in there now, they even use proper glasses these days.

It's not rough in the sense you'll get done in.  If you class as old people being sick on your shoe, and people going round selling things they've stolen earlier in Eldon Square twice a day as rough, then it is.

Aye, rough in that way. I used to drink in there all the time when I worked in the market, can't remember much aggro tbh, just full of idiots from the market really, in fact it was kind of a safe haven as everyone knew everyone, for the likes of me who were only 17 or something at the time. Man I used to do the Karaoke

Not one to frequent proper shitholes if I can avoid it tbh. Was meeting a mate in The Rocket in Longbenton Estate once. I guessed it was rough when I was the only one in there slightly taken aback when a young joyrider crashed outside and was chased through the bar by the police. Although there were other clues too.

If you think bars in the Toon were rough, you should see some of them in Glasgow. Going back a few years they were even worse and there always seemed to be some people in every bar that didn't like your face as soon as you opened your mouth...even with a geordie accent.

I remember this bar that Alan Rough had that stood by itself and was made out of what looked like cinder blocks, bars and wire on the windows. Looked like a warzone.

Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.
