Fireworks!

We seem to have them all year round here for some reason, seems like quite a lot tonight though, any reason why?

Because Bonfire Night is approaching?

More seriously, I hate them.  Only cause the neds have no sense of responsibility and just fire them at anyone, or anything.
You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Student says " I am very discouraged. What should I do?" Master says, "encourage others."
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
It takes a wise man to learn from his mistakes, but an even wiser man to learn from others.
This is what should be done. By one who is skilled in goodness, and who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied. Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.

Yeah, but shops stock up and know they'll sell like hotcakes, cause fannies love to buy them and fire them indiscriminately.

It doesn't end until tomorrow though, or Monday.  I think it's just scumbags setting them off.

Aye. Loads of fireworks going off in Edinburgh city centre just now...well I say loads, I actually mean a few...clearly being set off by neds with nothing better to do :wullie:

It's not neds with nothing better to do. It's an Indian festival called Diwali and it is the festival of light, thus the fireworks. Everyone is actually suppose to join in, so no it's not neds but every Indian-Brit living around you. And it's not only a Hindu festival, it's every other religion that can be called an 'Indian' religion as well (except, it seems, Buddhism) understand?

Unless you live in the flat next door to me, you couldn't possibly know whether it was neds or not. I saw it with my own eyes. Neds+Fireworks=PublicNuisance... a simple equation, but one which needs a proper answer nevertheless. :bigbro:

GM is correct, it is vastly neds doing it.  Same here.  I mean, I'm really sure our Indian locals will be still be setting them off as of 10 minutes ago.

And when one blows up a matter of 20 feet away from your front window, you just know who's done it.

I'll stuff the fireworks up their arses for them. They should set them off at a reasonable time. Its illegal to set fireworks off after 11pm anyway.
