this has bugged me for a while, and inspired by Snoops tonight:

why is it, every bird you meet professes to get on better with blokes, and doesn't have any girlie friends?

On a societal level, I don't believe it, but on an individual basis the rule is holding in my experience

It's not a gender-specific question, it's more of a personality attribute...some guys have lots of lady-friends, but not many male friends...on the other extreme, some lads barely speak to women and thrive on gang-mentality that helps hide their insecurities, etc.
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

What Snoopy is really saying is she had a bad experience back in her lesbian days and is worried she might get tempted to swing for the other side again.

why do people find it so strange for a lass to have all male friends and no female friends? does it matter? we are all the same species ffs who cares who we find our company with
“What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.” - Sir Bobby Robson

I have a good mix of both and do find it a little odd where people will limit themself to having one choice of sex.

By that token if we're all the same species, and the gender doesn't matter, then it's a bit on an anomaly for a female to have all male friends and no female ones.  Not impossible, sure, but the implication

I'm sure there are cases where it just happens that only males happen to have the qualities that a certain female is looking for in terms of friendship within a given distance.  It's just unlikely that that's going to be the case.

However I think the gender thing gets in the way for some, and a woman claiming to herself that all women are unworthy of friendship is just projecting her own preconceptions onto others to justify only maintaining friendships with the other gender.  It's practically sexual discrimination and I thought people were agreed that was wrong... unless it's only wrong if guys do it?  Society's occasionally stupid that way.

For a woman to claim something like 'all women are just bitchy to me, so I only bother with male friends' - sorry, you're attempting to passively show off, claiming that all women have some reason to be jealous of you, hence bitchiness etc.  Here's a thought, perhaps _some women aren't jealous of you_ - not that would fit with what you want to think of yourself though, eh.  bluesigh.gif  (Not saying this is how Snoopy thinks, just have encountered this mindset before!)
