Watched the whole first series of "I Alan Partridge" last night on DVD...had me in stitches.

Every character is brilliant, but Alan Partridge is up there with David Brent definitely.

Its fantastic, the Geordie is great, shame were always portrayed like that, but you can't help the stereotype, especially when its that funny.

Love the storey about the monkey nicking his ciggys! LOL

Favourite show ever.

I actually think series 2 is funnier, so many more memorable lines.

I prefer series 1 overall, but when he stands on the spike and still gives the speech was hilarious.

Claaaaass show.  The end of any discussion between  me, my brother and cousin will invariably end with one of...

"eeerr aah I'll stop then"
"This Country!"
"Some People!"
"Go to London, I guarantee you'll be mugged, or not appreciated."
"I can give you pyrotechnincs"
"Full Beam"
"Well there's no need for THAT!........You've done it again"
"I've stood on a spaayeeeek!"
"You're a bloody mentalist"

and no, we don't resemble the ginge of the fast show.

Not to be pedantic but I think it makes it a little funnier, after he says "he mustn't have seen me", I'm sure there's one last DAN!

I spoke to Steve Coogan the other day, by the way. [/shameless name dropping]
